Incredibly delicate and beautiful, globeflowers symbolize Siberia and arriving summer. Exuberant flowering plants make a staggering impression - like a fire, orange bells sparkle on the background of dark green.

The scientific Latin term for these wonderful flowers is trollius asiaticus. People call them simply “lights” or “zharki”. It is a perennial plant of the family Ranunculaceae. The orange-red flowers are often found in the forest, glades, meadows, highlands  and even in tundra, flowers prefer wet places. You can see globeflowers in the Altai and Sayan Mountains, in the West Siberian Plain and even Mongolia. The diameter of the flowers up to 5 cm, 20 cm high. Flowering period – from the end of May till the end of June.

In folk medicine flowers are often used as a diuretic, anti-inflammatory and antiscorbutic, as well as from swelling and bruising.

Flowers are included in the Red Book of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), and the Omsk region.
