The find is dated to the late 3rd – early 2nd century BC. According to researchers, the word “razor” is quite conditional. It does not mean that people used this tool for shaving only at that time. It could as well be used as a scraper knife and as a surgical instrument and for some other purposes.
The find will make it possible for archeologists to establish where ancient people got raw materials for casting from: there are no bronze sources in Barabinskaya Steppe. They presume bronze could be brought from Altai or the Urals.
