Since June Yekaterinburg government launches the project Y City Tour, which provides bus and walking tours around the main city's attractions. This is analogous to the famous excursion double deckers that are operated in many cities around the world. It is assumed that this summer the city tour will take place for 3-4 hours twice a day. Tourists can use minibuses with a capacity of not more than 20 people. A single ticket will be valid for one or two days, it will allow travelers to get off at a desired stop, explore the city and then continue the way to the next sight by the next bus.
The season 2016 will be like a trial version, the project appears in the full version in 2017. In the second stage frequency excursions will be increased to 3-4 times a day, and a multilingual audioguide will appear.
The route includes 15 stops: 8 Marta Street near the metro station Square of 1905 year (starting point) - Plotinka - Opera House - House of Professionals of Gospromural - Ural Federal University (the main building on Mira Street) - Ascension Hill - Church on the Spilled Blood - railway station - Yeltsin Center - Square of 1905 year - House of offices (Dom Kontor) - DOSAAF - Business Center Vysotsky - Zheleznov house - Royal bridge - merchants' houses on 8 Marta street - metro station Square of 1905 year.
