A new photo exhibition about the world of the Scythians to be open in Germany soon

On March 7, in Glauberg (Germany) in the museum Keltenwelt am Glauberg opens a new photo exhibition of Burkhard Thomann "Two worlds one moment".

In 2011-2012 the president of Russian Geographical Society met the director of the museum Keltenwelt am Glauberg in Hessen (Germany). At the meeting, a presentation of the project "Kyzyl-Kuragino" and plans for further cooperation between the two geographical societies, the archaeological community, as well as two museums Keltenwelt am Glauberg and the National Museum of Tuva were discussed. Subsequently, German archaeologists and museum staff have assisted  the organization of international groups of students and volunteers to participate in archaeological digs in Tuva in the summer 2012.

Among them was Leonrad Burkhard Thomann, who made a photo report of the project "Two Worlds - one moment".

His photo exhibition is engaged by the art laboratory Bulgakova which is the official representative of Burkhart Thomann in Russia.

The exhibition will run until April 17, 2017. At the opening of the exhibition the Museum Keltenwelt am Glauberg is going to present to the National Museum of Tuva a copy of world-famous archaeological find - 2 meter stone statue of the leader, known as Celtic Prince of Glauberg.

Photo exhibition "Two Worlds - One moment" of the photographer Burkhard Thomann opened with his camera a portal between two worlds, two times, so that from a distance of 5,000 km could bring the feeling of the moment. His photos tell of the magic and history of the Celts and the Scythians, with all the force of the impact of the instantaneous frame making visible the parallels between the two peoples and cultures. Features of the Celts and the Scythians, as well as their mutual similarity inspired research in this field and led eventually to the event. The exhibition aims to revive and give a new force to the cultural and scientific exchange between the Museum Keltenwelt am Glauberg and the National Museum of Tuva. Photos will be on exhibit from March 7 to Easter Monday April 17, 2017 in Keltenwelt am Glauberg and then be moved to more than 5000 km to the National Museum of Tuva in Kyzyl.

In the future, the exhibition is scheduled to exhibit at the National Museum of Tuva.
