The day before in Moscow passed a meeting where the committee from Krasnoyarsk region coordinated the date of 29th World Winter University Games as a candidate for its organization.

The Games will take place from 2 to 12 of March 2019.  For the right of carrying out University games 2019 Krasnoyarsk fights against the Swedish canton of Valais.

The outstanding Soviet and Russian skier, the triple Olympic champion, the president of Federation of skiing of Russia Elena Vyalbe during the meeting of committee emphasized that Krasnoyarsk has every chance not only to accept University games, but also to become the capital of winter sports.
