Yuri Vasiliev’s theater will show the performance based on the novel by Paulo Coelho "Veronika Decides to Die" in Krasnoyarsk.

Maria Poroshina, Agnia Ditkovskite (Veronica), Elena Zakharova and Yuri Vasilyev are starring in the spectacle. The artistic director of the theater, People's Artist of Russia Yuri Vasilyev said that Coelho’s philosophy is very close to the philosophy of their theater. It is stated in the novel that all the desires, dreams and man’s spirit in the modern world are suppressed by the global standardization. To be free and to be able to find a meaning in life is the basis of an individual happiness.

The General Producer of Theatre and the author of the idea of the production Natalia Doroshkevich added that they are the first and the only theatre in Russia who personally got Coelho’s permission to perform a spectacle based on his works.

The performance, like the novel, will give the audience grounds for thinking about the fact that in the modern world desires, dreams and man’s spirit are suppressed by the global standardization. But the foundation of an individual happiness is freedom and individual sense of life.

"Veronika Decides to Die" will be performed in Krasnoyarsk on December, 10 at 7pm in the Krasnoyarsk Musical Theater. The tickets cost from 800 rubles.
