The idea to launch sightseeing buses “City Tour” in Moscow appeared in March, media reports. Only ten double decker buses will be used for sightseeing purposes. According to officials, the funding is provided entirely by foreign investments.
Experts note that due to a busy traffic Moscow may need more than 10 buses. It is planned that each visitor will be able to leave a bus at any place, and then after a certain period of time to get into another bus and continue the route. The route in Moscow has 15 stops – including the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Novodevichy Convent, the Sparrow Hillsobservation deck (Vorobyevy Gory), the Gorky Park. It is assumed that travelers could continue the trip using “river trams” from some stops.
The buses will go along the route from 10:00 till 18:00 on workdays and till 19:00 at weekends. The cost of a ticket is 600 RUB, for children and pensioners 400 RUB, for students and pupils 300 RUB.
The company “City tour of St. Petersburg” reports that the same buses may soon be launched in Kazan and Sochi. We recall that these cities will host the Universiade and the Olympics, respectively. The organizing committee informs that the company Hyundai will become a sponsor of the “City Tour”.
