Within the year of the passenger Russian Railways in cooperation with Sberbank has launched a pilot project for cashless payment for goods and services in Russian high-speed long-distance trains.
More than 100 Russian trains are equipped with mobile terminals receiving credit cards for payment for goods purchased from conductors aboard (linen, travel kits, tea etc).
From now cardholders going on a trip don't need to look for a cash machine before boarding the train. Of course, it will make the life of Russian citizens and foreign travelers using the rail much more comfortable.
