The organizers predict in their application that from 800 to 1,000 people or from 200 to 250 teams of four will step on ice simultaneously.
Buryatia, which hosts this major event, has all chances to enter the Russian Book of Records. “Baikal Fishing" will be held on April 11 and 12 in the village of Turka of Pribaykalsky District. A crossover, announced as a main prize, will be awarded to the team, whose catch overweighs rivals’ results. The geography of teams entered the fishing covers all Russia. The teams from Vladivostok, Kaliningrad, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk and even Sochi will come to Baikal for ice fishing.
