The new project provides a construction of a long trail along the coast of Lake Baikal 150 kilometers long. The route will be built on one of the most popular tourist area of the lake - the trail will connect the villages of Listvyanka and Buguldeika, the website of the interregional public organization Great Baikal Trail says.

The trail will pass through the most beautiful places of the western shore of Lake Baikal: Rock Skriper, Cape Sobolev, area Devil's Bridge, caves, mouth of river Goloustnaya, Sandy Bay. All work will be performed by volunteer forces.

It's planned to attract about a hundred people. Start of the project is expected to be on 20 August 2016. In areas where there is already a road infrastructure (for example, between the village of Listvyanka and Bolshie Koty) new information boards will appear, sings will be updated. The public organization is collecting sponsorship funds today.
