Due to high temperatures and the absence of heavy rainfall around Krasnoyarsk, the administration of the Stolby reserve decided to close the protected natural area for tourists.

According to preliminary calculations, by the weekend, the fire hazard class according to weather conditions can reach IV level, so the risk of forest fires will increase.

The ban on visits will be valid from August 2, 2019 from 18:00 hours until a significant amount of precipitation occurs (at least 3 mm of water per day according to the weather station’s of the reserve).

During the prohibition period, the state inspectorate switches to an enhanced mode of operation.

At all entrances of the reserve, checkpoints will be exhibited. For ensuring fire safety and following the established ban, police officers will be involved.

Visitors who violate the special regime will be held administratively liable.

But! Admission to the Stolby will be allowed only to organized excursion groups that have approved their trip in advance, accompanied by the staff of the reserve.
