From 25 of March to 06 of October, Russian TV channel and Russian Geographical community with the help of television, Internet and newspapers conducted a multimedia national competition. During this project all people could vote for their favorite places in Russia. The goal of this project was to tell about unique geographical, architectural and historical sights of our country. 

One of the leaders of this competition is Baikal Lake. This lake is the deepest and the cleanest in the world. Thousands of Russian and foreign tourists come every year to see this unique place. The territory of the lake is located in two regions – Irkutsk Region and Buryat Republic. During the whole year tourists have an opportunity to come there and enjoy fascinating landscapes.
