On 30^th August, the International festival of vanguard film finished in Kansk. The film called “Greenland” of the Israeli director Oren Gerner became the owner of the festival Grand-Prix, the statuette “Palm Secateur D'Or”.

This year there was the record amount of application for the Kansk festival – more than 3.400 from 80 countries of the world. According to the organizers, more than 20 thousand people have visited the festival in Krasnoyarsk Krai. III International Architectural Festival and III “Zazubrin’s” festival of literature were also included in the program of the event.

Traditionally the entry to the all location was free. As in previous years, there was a free bus route for the whole festival week from Krasnoyarsk to Kansk and back.

For the first time in history of this cinematographic event, the festival is moving beyond the city and taking a trip to the Balkans, where a BalKANSK film festival is going to be held. The demonstration of the best nominees for the fourteen-year history of event is taking place in Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina from 11^th till 23^rd September.
