International Internet portal Price of Travel.com published a new rating of tourist cities in Europe, a trip to that most burdensome for the budget. The cheapest tourist cities of Europe are Sofia, Krakow, Bucharest and Sarajevo. Moscow ranked 15th in the list, numbering 47 European cities. 14th place takes another Russian city - St. Petersburg.

Rating European Backpacker Index-2013 not only takes into account the cost of an overnight stay in the cheapest hostel, it is also based on the number of positive reviews about the accommodation place, two-price travel on public transport, a visit to one of the city's attractions, three meals with a cup of alcohol (or dessert with coffee).

The rating in Moscow was calculated on base of accommodation in TNT Hostel (12 euro a night), daily food (11 euro) with beer (4-5 euro), transportation costs (1.5 euro) and cultural program (from 8 euro). Overall the budget of one day trip in Moscow starts from 37 euro per person.
