Kalbak-Tash ( literal translation means “a flat, expanded, trailing stone, a mountain”) situated in Gorny Altai on the right coast of Chuia River, between Idro and Inja villages. Here in the rocks a several thousands peroglyphs can be observed. The most widespread of them are images of bulls, deer, wolves, snow leopards. Also visitors can see the images of unknown predators and hunting scenes. The other motive - ritual actions. Some pethroglyphs scientists correlated to plots of the Altai myths, others aren't solved yet.
About two kilometers from rock paintings there is a sculpture of the stone warrior, with accurately represented face and hands squeezing a sword. The age of stone sculptures and drawings is estimated by experts at some thousands years.
For development of excursion and touristic activity, authorities allowed to erect constrictions and pavilions for museum expositions in immediate vicinity to the reserve or to its territories, and also to create foot tracks, observation decks, vacation spots.
