Transaero and Aigle Azur Launch Paris – Moscow Flights

01.08.2012

Transaero Airlines, Russia’s second largest carrier, in cooperation with the French airline Aigle Azur launched scheduled flights between Paris and Moscow.  This became possible after both companies had been named designated carriers on the route within the process of liberalization of air transportation between Russia and France.  It is a very important step on the way to increasing business and leisure traffic on the Paris – Moscow flights given Paris is the most popular European destination among the Russians.

Flights from Paris to Moscow are performed under the code-share agreement signed by Transaero and Aigle Azur.  Under the document Aigle Azur adds its designated code to each Transaero-operated flight between the destinations while Transaero puts its code to all the four weekly flights on the route performed by Aigle Azur.

Transaero’s flights to the capital of Russia are operated from Paris – Orly airport to two airports in Moscow: on Wednesdays and Saturdays to Domodedovo, the carrier’s main base, and on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays to Vnukovo, the closest airport to the city centre which is particularly convenient for those traveling on business.  Upon arrival to Domodedovo the guests can take numerous connecting flights to destinations in Russia, the CIS, the Middle East and South-East Asia.  At Vnukovo passengers can take advantage of the most modern and state-of-the-art Terminal A.

Both flights have the same timetable (local time): departure from Moscow at 10:35, arrival to Paris at 12:40. Departure from Paris at 15:30, arrival to Moscow at 21:30.

Flights performed by Aigle Azur are operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from Paris – Orly airport to Moscow Vnukovo airport. Terminal A as well.

Both Transaero and Aigle Azur are pretty confident that the new service will be appreciated by passengers.
