From 13^th to 21^th of August in Irkutsk region Festival of Slavic languages at Baikal. Students, post-graduates and scientists from 10 countries will take part in the event: Austria, Belorussia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Russia, the Ukraine, Czech Republic and Switzerland.

Festival of Slavic languages at Baikal is the first international event in Irkutsk region of such a large scale. To take part in it is an opportunity to exchange knowledge with colleagues from abroad, learn about their works and popularize knowledge in the sphere of Slavic philology.

It is planned that the festival will include 2 parts: from 13^th to 15^th of August in Irkutsk State University there will be lectures and language classes, from 16^th to 21^th of August the participants will move to Baikal, where they will organize presentations and round tables. The main languages of the festibal are Russian and English.

All the students, post-graduates and teachers of philology subjects from Irkutsk, Bratsk, Krasnoyarsk, Ulan-Ude and other Siberian cities are welcomed to take part in the festival! You can visit lectures and language classes in Irkutsk for free.
