Yesterday, on September, 6, Evgeniy Kegelev, a sportsman of the regional “Adaptive sports centre” became a champion of the Paralympic Games in the 4x100 relay.
The Russian team which includes Evgeniy Kegelev, Alexey Labzin, Fedor Trikolich and Andrey Koptev set a new Paralympic record with the result 42.66 seconds, beating the Chinese team by 0.02 seconds (42.68).
Sportsmen from Azerbaijan finished third (43.92). This gold medal is 28th for the Russian team at the Paralympic Games in London.
