Last Saturday, 04.08.2012, in Yenisseysk there took place a traditional historic August fair. About 25 thousand citizens and guests joined the event in the old Siberian town.

The event started with rowing across the Yenissei river ‘Yenissei race-2012’. After a festive procession along the streets of the town, there was an opening of the fair and City Day.

For all the participants there worked a lot of entertaining venues: city of Masters, children and teen venues, exhibitions and master-classes, contests for families and many others. Different groups performed on the stage which was constructed on water. In the evening everybody enjoyed the fireworks on the banks of the Yenissei river.

Yenisseysk fair was widely known both in Siberia and far beyond even in the XVIII century. Traditionally the fair took place in August and was called Uspenskaya. Nowadays Yenissei fair is a place where agriculture producers, representatives of small business from different regions, masters and craftsmen, and also creative groups can meet.
