As it is stated in the Mayor’s Press Service Krasnoyarsk sportswoman has  become a World champion in climbing.

The competition was held from September, 12 till September, 16 in Paris. 600 sportsmen from 58 countries participated in the 12th World Championship in climbing. There were 34 climbers in the Russian team.

Julia Levochkina became a World champion in speed climbing and set a new world record (8, 37 sec). The last time sportsmen from Krasnoyarsk took the title of the champion in this discipline in 2007. At that time Merited Sports Master in climbing Tatiana Ruiga celebrated her victory.

Ksenia Polehina, a student of the merited coach of Russia Lubov Zakharova, took the 4th place in speed climbing and reached a qualifying standard - International Master of Sports. Victor Kozlov (coach – Rudolf Ruiga) took the 8th place in bouldering.
