St. Petersburg became the best tourist destination in Europe!

Russian Northern Capital city awarded the World Travel Awards Europe in the category "Leading European direction 2015". The ceremony took place in Sardinia, Italy. The jury recognized St. Petersburg "a city with a rich history, ancient traditions and a bright future".
Now, the winners will be nominated for the World Travel Award, the final of which will take place in December in Morocco.

Previously, St. Petersburg was one of the 3 most unfriendly cities in the world. Rating was made by an American magazine for travelers Travel + Leisure. According to the magazine, foreigners are impressed by the architecture of St. Petersburg, but the gloom and uncommunicativeness of locals leeve a bad impression. On the top of the most unfriendly cities was Moscow.
